If you’re looking for something new and different for your school-aged daughter, ages 5 to 12, check out Bradford Bellas Girls Club. BBGC is a non-competitive performance group that focuses on building girls’ self confidence through singing, dancing and acting.
During each weekly session, the Bella Girls start by playing games that focus on self-esteem, teamwork and friendship. The remainder of the class is spent practicing for parts in several positive and upbeat songs, learning choreography and dance moves to songs, and rehearsing and memorizing lines to our original plays. All the girls will have numerous speaking parts with no lead role in the performances. The girls will feel like stars during their final performance at the end of the BBGC season.
The final performance is not about showing off the girls’ perfected dance moves or amazing singing ability. It’s also not a recital where the girls are in full costume.
Instead, it is a short performance of upbeat songs, with choreographed dance moves and memorized speaking parts. It’s about the girls having fun, showing you what they’ve been rehearsing, and proving that each have their own special talents and gifts. You should expect smiley, proud and excited girls who can’t wait to take the stage and show-off their talents!
